We cordially invite you to ggg999-2026, annual General Global Gathering of the Triple Nine Society, which will be held in Rapid City, South Dakota, from Thursday, October 8th to Monday, October 12.

Rapid City blends rich Native American and Old West history with breathtaking natural beauty at the edge of the Black Hills. From its lively downtown filled with local art, shops, and dining to its close proximity to iconic landmarks like Mount Rushmore, Badlands National Park, Custer State Park, and Reptile Gardens, the city invites exploration at every turn.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all in South Dakota this fall.

Location

Rapid City is located in western South Dakota, on the eastern edge of the Black Hills near Mount Rushmore. The easiest way to get there is by flying into Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP), which has connecting flights through major hubs like Denver, Minneapolis, and Chicago.

Dates

We have chosen the 8-12 October weekend to coincide with the 2026 Black Hills Powwow and Expo, one of the most exciting events of the year in Rapid City. The Black Hills Powwow is one of the premier American Indian cultural events in the United States, attracting thousands of dancers, singers, artisans, and several thousand spectators from across the country. In addition to the powwow, spectators have the opportunity to enjoy a fine arts show, He Sapa Win pageant, style show, vendors, and other activities.

Weather

October in South Dakota offers cool, crisp fall weather with average highs in the low 60s°F (16°C) and lows dipping to the mid-to-high 40s°F (5°C).

Precipitation is not likely, but if you plan some hiking and outdoor activities (and you should!) make sure you bring proper clothes and rain protection.

Venue

Located just ten miles away from the airport, the Hotel Alex Johnson is a historic downtown gem where timeless charm meets modern comfort — imagine stepping into a beautifully restored 1928 landmark crowned with handcrafted Native American art and Tudor-inspired architecture, then unwinding with plush, contemporary rooms, a lively Irish pub, and a rooftop bar with stunning Black Hills views just blocks from Main Street Square.

Hotel Alex Johnson has reserved 30 rooms for us on a "First come, first served" basis. They cannot guarantee more rooms after we run out of the block due to the high attendance of the Powwow, so make sure you commit and book early! Booking information details will be sent to you via email.

Registration

The ggg999-2026 registration fee is $85.

Monday farewell lunch at the Alex Johnson is offered as an add-on for $35 (we think it will be fantastic, don’t miss out).

And if you are able to contribute toward someone else's registration, we welcome donations of any amount. Your generosity will help ensure that more people can benefit from the gathering and share in the experience. Thank you in advance for your support.

Families and guests are welcome

ggg999 is open not only to TNS members, but also to their families and guests (limited to one guest per member). Minor children and grandchildren of TNS members will not be charged a registration fee.
